At WMHSMUN, we believe that socializing and understanding the host university’s culture are vital to the Model UN experience. Our social events are a mix of time-tested traditions and new productions. Spend time with your fellow delegates and see what our historic city has to offer!
Delegates may go on a short 45 minute tour around campus before opening ceremonies. Tours will be given by official W&M tour guides. Students can also informally talk with Tribe Ambassadors about campus life and the college process starting at 2:30. As delegates will be walking all over campus, comfortable footwear is strongly recommended. To register for this event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be pizza provided by our Service branch, served at a first come first serve basis for $1.00. Prior to the first Committee Session delegates can buy pizza in the Sadler Center, Blair Hall, and Small Hall.
Come hang out with both new and old friends in the Sadler Center after the first Committee Session. Take a photo at our photo booth, or play some fun games. Popcorn, cotton candy and sno cones will be provided, and delegates can purchase snacks or merchandise from the Service team.
Two delegates from each delegation may attend a talk by Major General Dyess, who is the Deputy Director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center. Lunch will be provided for attending delegates. No separate registration required. The Summit will be held in Chesapeake C in the Sadler Center.
This is our much anticipated Saturday Night event! There will be dancing, a DJ and lots of fun! This takes place 9:30-11:30 PM in the Chesapeake Rooms of the Sadler Center. WMHSMUN will also provide an alternative social event in Commonwealth Auditorium to provide a more relaxed environment for our delegates. The alternative event has a performance by one of our a Capella groups, The Stairwells, at 9:45. Their performance will be followed by trivia.
